Whoa, easy there Mama Earth

No, not a belated Earth Day post but just a crazy fact. We've had almost 400 earthquakes out here since February 28th. Yeah, 4-double-0. Just felt a cluster that had me half-diving under my desk. Luckily, the majority are tiny (1.2, 1.4, 2.2) but this is, as my geology professor would say, "an unusual pattern".

Well, ok...I do have a little something in the honor of (belated) Earth Day. A friend turned me on to these blogs, GardenPunks and Little Homestead in the City. Gotta say, I'm catching the fever to build some raised beds and grow food all year long.

Weren't the quakes this afternoon... uhhh... shaky?? The second one this afternoon even stopped all the kids right in their tracks. Something only Mother Earth shaking her booty could do. :) Have you practiced your Earthquake drill?

I love Garden Punks. So glad you mentioned those blogs because they are good.

We don't get earthquakes in Calgary - just snow! I think I prefer the snow. Earthquakes freak me out.

Hey! Thanks for the link and kind words (from you and raining sheep!). I'm blushing, and still can't believe people read my blog and find it interesting....a funny place to be.

Just a quick peek here and I definitely like what I see. :0) I feel a new link coming on.
