More Words...

Now I see the secret of the making of the best persons,
It is to grow in the open air, and to eat and sleep with the earth.

--Song of the Open Road, Walt Whitman

If you have time to read the whole poem, I highly suggest it. Definitely a spirit-lifter.

it is one of my all-time favorites. I read it in bed yesterday, from my 1940 hardcover copy of Leaves of Grass. It's funny how the punctuation and layout of the volume changes over time (he was crazy about it, apparently) :)
